Cool and hilly forest lands of northern Portugal are the place of origin of a unique white wine with a low alcohol content and a mild sour aroma - the so-called Vinho Verde, which is drunk from the last harvest. Stronger and saturated white wines are made from grapes ripened in vineyards, illuminated by the great hot sun, at high summer temperatures. Saturated white wines are enriched with fermentation in oak, which adds their taste to completeness. For example, white wines from Dao and Lisboa are blooming. These wines with oak flavor taste well with meat and fish dishes.
